Alex began playing soccer on a men's league here in our city (Ranchooo Yooouuu Knoooow! Oops the cheerleader came out in me). Oh, yeah, Alex is only 14 yrs. old. My husband started a team that would allow him to carry two under aged players just to give Alex the opportunity to play with the big boys. I think playing with the big boys is suppose to help Alex improve. We'll see. I went to there first game last night and I prayed Alex wouldn't get hurt the whole time. These old guys take soccer way too seriously, but Alex enjoyed it. He and dad had lots to talk about the rest of the night. Good bonding time.
Eli is the only one not in any sport at the moment, but his math facts are keeping us busy every night. He takes a 1 minute math test every day and learning those math facts have been tough for him to master. He just passed his 12 addition and subtraction yesterday, and we celebrated by taking him to the Lego store. Eli didn't stop a beat and we began his multiplications. Oh, I can't forget about his daily Spanish lessons with Mom (that he completely hates). I write down sentences that are commonly used (non of that "cheese it rotten and stinky" crap), I read it, and do my impressions to help him understand what it says. Then, he writes the sentence and practices saying the words correctly. He requested a sentence to say "I don't like to study Spanish" (in Espanol of course). Now, he's on a kick and enjoys reciting "No me gusta estudiar Espanol".
Oh, and I want to thank Beth for helping me get my mojo back and giving me some jewelry feedback. All real good ideas. Thank you for your support. I have gotten some new inspiration so thank you, thank you.

I hear you on the busy stuff. Remember to breath =)
Have a blessed weekend!
Go Sabrina!!!! I used to be on a swim team too. I could only do a 50 yard butterfly fast, so I did it on the relay team. When I did the 100 or 200 I looked like I was drowning... especially in the long-course races. Yuck! Give me freestyle or backstroke anytime!
