My Brown Eyed Girl: Brina

As promised, here is Brina Peg Doll showcasing her big brown eyes right before her water polo game.  She is all smiles because she knows her team is strong and ready to win.
The doll construction process was fairly smooth, that is until I went to varnish the eyes and the mascara and eye liner bled onto the white of her eyes, face and hair.  I was so distraught because I spent more time on the eyes than on anything else.  I used a fine tip "permanent" marker....so I thought.
After seeing my masterpiece ruined, and after telling myself, "What the HECK!  It's gonna be alright.  It's gonna be alright, just breath."  And after saying a quick prayer, "Jesus, please don't let this be wrecked.  Give me the skill to fix this."  He did.  The blunder was fixed, although, Brina did not wear such heavy makeup originally.  After repainting most of her upper face, I ran...no really, I ran....to the marker I used and it was indeed "dry erase" not "permanent" marker that I had used.  This is what I get for saying that I had not run into any bumps on road on this project.  Live and Learn, right?   Other than the hiccup that I created, the project went well.
Here's Brina after the game.
On a different note.  Have you ever wanted to sing along to a new or old song, but didn't know all the words?  I found this cool website called Lyrics.com where you can find your songs of choice and sing along.  I now know the lyrics to Abba's "Chiquitita" and Blondie's "Heart of Glass".  Do you think my teens would be stunned if I learned a Paramore song and just chimed in as they listen to it on the radio?
